A parent who fulfils the requirements can sponsor their child’s permanent residency in Australia using a Child Visa — either Subclass 802 (onshore) or Subclass 101 (offshore). If the child is under 18 years, parents can submit the visa application on their behalf.

📝 Key Eligibility Requirements
👨👩👧 For the Parent:
- Must be an Australian citizen
- Or hold an Australian permanent resident visa
- Or be an eligible New Zealand citizen
🧒 For the Child:
- If under 18, must be single and not adopted (unless adopted under 18)
- If adopted, must be under 18 years of age at time of adoption
- If between 18–25, must be studying full-time and dependent
- If 18 or older and unable to work due to disability, must be dependent on the sponsoring parent
📌 Note: Meeting the health and character requirements is also mandatory for the child and any dependent applicants.
